The cardigan is worked from the top down using raglan construction. You begin by knitting the collar in half fisherman’s rib and continue straight into raglan shaping. The yoke is worked flat to create the front opening, and increases are made along each raglan line to shape the body and sleeves. Once the yoke is complete, sleeve stitches are placed on hold and the body is worked flat to the hem and finished with twisted rib. Each sleeve is then worked in the round and tapered to a twisted rib cuff. Stitches are picked up along the front edges to create the twisted rib button band. The result is a clean, seamless cardigan with a soft, textured fabric and classic fit.
