I’m longing for those summer evenings on the beach of Lake Michigan these days! Even though things are still shut down around here and the weather here in Chicago hasn’t felt much like spring, I’m getting myself ready for those fun summer nights on the water at our favorite beach, Gillson Beach, as soon as we can get out there!

There’s nothing like a comfy, cozy summer sweater you can throw on with your favorite pair of shorts or summer jeans when you’re outside on those cooler summer nights. I wanted to design a stylish but comfortable sweater that I could live in this summer. This sweater is oversized and cropped with the perfect 3/4 length sleeves. It’s a simple design that’s easily constructed so it’s perfect for the beginner knitter and fun for the more advanced as well.
