Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie Recipe
Oh this is like drinking dessert for breakfast! Nothing like a chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie to get me going for the day. It’s so thick and creamy and satisfies my sweet tooth.
Why smoothies are great for breakfast
I like drinking smoothies as the first meal of the day because they’re a great way to wake up my digestive system. Consuming a nutrient-rich smoothie like this chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie for breakfast is a great way to slowly get your digestive system going. When you drink a smoothie, a lot of the food is broken down already because it’s in liquid form so it doesn’t require as much energy for your system to digest it.
Drink your superfoods
Smoothies are a great way to add in superfoods into your diet. They’re a great way to experiment with various superfoods that have many nutritional benefits to your body. This chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie is not only delicious, but it’s also very healthy. It’s packed with flax and cacao, two powerful superfoods.
Flax is a great source of fiber, protein and omega-3 fatty acids. It’s also packed with a ton of other beneficial vitamins and minerals.
Cacao is a great source of calcium and has a ton of iron, magnesium, and antioxidants.
