Top Down Raglan Striped Sweater Knitting Pattern | Cambria
The Cambria Striped Pullover is a fresh, modern take on a classic striped sweater. The bold blue stripes bring energy and contrast, while the soft base keeps it wearable and easy to style. Knit in DROPS Big Merino and DROPS Lima, the fabric feels smooth and structured, holding its shape while staying comfortable. This top-down raglan features a clean 1x1 rib and a folded collar that gives the neckline a polished finish. The silhouette is simple and timeless, making it an effortless piece to wear on repeat whether paired with denim, layered over a button-down, or styled on its own. When you purchase the pattern, you get access to a DK weight and a worsted weight version.
Construction Notes
The Cambria Stripe Pullover is worked from the top down. The yoke is knit flat first to shape the neckline, then joined in the round once the neckline depth is established. Raglan increases create the shaping through the shoulders, with shaping adjusted by size to achieve the intended fit. Some sizes work sleeve and body increases evenly, while others continue increasing either the sleeves or the body independently once the other section has reached its target stitch count. A folded collar and clean 1x1 rib frame the neckline for a polished finish. After completing the yoke, sleeve stitches are placed on hold and the body is worked in the round and finished with a 1x1 rib hem. The sleeves are then returned to the needles and worked in the round with gradual decreases and 1x1 rib cuffs.
