We’re all embarking on new times lately so I created the Embarker Hat + Cowl Pattern bundle to help us get through it all a little cozier. The bundle includes a classic hat, a short and comfy cowl and a longer cowl that drapes beautifully on your shoulders. All 3 patterns use a classic repeating diamond moss stitch, which I love because it doesn’t require any fancy stitches—everything is knitting or purling.
Hat
The pattern is written in one width size but accounts for 3 different lengths (fitted, roomy, slouchy). Finished measurements of the hat are approximately 8.5 in/21.5 cm wide and 8.5 in/22 cm, 9.5 in/24 cm, 10.5 in/26.5 cm . You’ll need approximately 65-85 yds/64-73 m Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick Yarn or another super bulky weight yarn and US 15/10 mm, 16 in circular knitting needles or DPNs or knitting needles needed to obtain correct gauge.
Cowl
Finished measurements of the cowl are approximately 13 in/33 cm wide and 10 in/25.5 cm tall. You’ll need approximately 100-125 yds/91.5-114 m Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick Yarn or any other super bulky weight yarn that meets gauge and US 15/10 mm, 24 in circular knitting needles or knitting needles needed to obtain correct gauge.
Extended Cowl
180-220 yds/164.5-201 m Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick Yarn (1 skein of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick Yarn is 106 yds/97 m per 6 oz/170 g skein; 80% acrylic, 20% wool ) or any other super bulky weight yarn that meets gauge and US 15/10 mm, 24 in circular knitting needles or knitting needles needed to obtain correct gauge.
