This elegant and textured knit hat features the St. John’s Wort knit stitch, a flower-like lace stitch that gives refreshing dimension to super bulky yarn. It’s a piece that feels both classic and distinctive — cozy enough for cold weather, but with a bit of delicate detail you won’t see in every winter hat.
If you love engaging stitch texture and creating something a little unexpected from chunky yarn, this hat is a wonderful knit to add to your wardrobe rotation.
Why You’ll Love This Hat
Beautiful Lace-Like Texture
The St. John’s Wort stitch produces a delightful pattern that almost resembles little blossoms across the surface of the hat. It’s simple enough to learn but yields rich, eye-catching texture.
Great First Lace Hat
This design is a lovely introduction to lace knitting. Ultimate beginners to lace can build confidence with this pattern’s rhythm and structure before moving on to more complex lace projects.
Fast with Super Bulky Yarn
